KUST commemorates Kurdistan Flag Day

On December 18, 2022 Komar University of Science and Technology commemorated Kurdistan Flag
Day. The ceremony started with raising the Kurdish flag on Komar University’s campus followed by the
Kurdish national anthem, Ei Reqib. Following this ceremony, students and staff presented an art
exhibition which was prepared by the Student Club. The exhibition was opened by the university’s
president, Professor Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali, and it included different paintings displayed by 17 students
from different departments, Ms. Saya Azad, from accounting unit, and Mr. Shkar Azad, supervisor of the
Student Club. The paintings were of famous Kurdish personalities and the Kurdish flag in different styles.
During the exhibition, Versa Kazim, a student from the computer engineering department, presented some
pieces of music on his piano which made the morning more enjoyable.
