Komar University Hosts Iraq Girls Youth Basketball Championship

Komar University of Science and Technology recently hosted the Iraq Girls Youth Basketball Championship, welcoming young athletes from across the nation. The event took place at the Komar University Sports Hall, featuring six clubs: Halbja, Darbandikhan, Sabis, Gazi Bakur, Sanharib, and Akkad.
After intense competition, four clubs advanced to the finals held on June 29-30, 2024. Gazi Bakur Sports Club emerged victorious, securing first place, while Sabis Club claimed second place.
The championship showcased the talent and dedication of young female basketball players, highlighting the growing popularity of the sport in Iraq.
